Unsealed 4X4 20 inch LED Light Bar Shoot Out

In Issue 019 of the Unsealed 4X4 magazine, the team carried out a 'shootout' comparison that looked at the top-performing 20 inch LED light bars in the market today.

Along with nine other brands of  lights, the Drivetech 4x4 20 inch LED light bar was put through its paces....and was proven to be an extremely well made light, that is incredibly cost effective and has very good straight line penetration.

Evan Spence, Deputy Editor Unsealed 4X4 and chief tester in this instance, stated that the Drivetech 4x4 LED Light Bar was:

"Best bang for buck light on test, passing water submersion testing without letting a drop in and beating more expensive lights when it came to straight line penetration."

All lights were tested for:

  • fitment
  • inclusions
  • LUX output (close, mid and long range measurements)
  • temperature
  • water resistance

The results of this testing, in combination with the price of the unit, then formed the basis of the ratings:

  • Performance ranking
  • Build quality ranking
  • Price ranking
  • Overall results

The results speak for themselves!

The Drivetech 4x4 LED Light Bar achieved:

  • The HIGHEST rating for 'Overall Results' with 4 STARS
  • The HIGHEST rating for 'Performance' with 5 STARS
  • The Second HIGHEST rating for 'Build Quality' with 4 STARS

When comparing the Drivetech 4x4 LED Light Bar with the other lights that sit within a similar price bracket (under $380), ours was by far the best performer in terms of overall results, performance and build quality ratings.

It was also the ONLY light within the price bracket to pass the water resistance test.

All results can be seen in the following comparison table (it is worth noting, that although 10 lights were tested, one was only a prototype and has not, therefore, been included in the final result comparison).
